Comfort Suites Knoxville North

The front desk lady was really nice, and this hotel turned out to be surprisingly nice. Our room was clean, the beds pretty comfortable, and the continental breakfast was solid. They even have a gym. We’ll definitely stay here when we’re in Knoxville for our favorite brewery, Xul.

The room itself was very clean, but most of what was in it felt shabby. The mattress looked new and was still pretty uncomfortable, and the TV was comically small and ancient. The elevator door was very loud opening and closing, and it was much too close to several rooms. They initially put me in the room shown in my elevator-door photo.

I’m a light sleeper, and the suite layout let me sleep through the night. A door separated the sleeping area from the bathroom and entry, which made a big difference since standard hotel rooms are usually terrible for me. This is one of the most comfortable midprice chains I’ve stayed at, and the price was good too. The pool was smaller and colder than I like, and the fridge wasn’t keeping food cold, but getting good sleep made up for those things.

I brought a group of over 30 people and we arrived late at night. The desk attendant was ready for us and had everything organized, including a list and stacks of room key cards. I’ve arranged a lot of group trips and rarely seen a hotel this prepared. Excellent experience, and I’ll definitely use this hotel again.
