The staff were helpful and attentive, and really wanted to make our stay a good one. The furnishings were nice, especially the comfortable chairs. It’s an older model, but it’s been updated, and the room was very clean and comfortable. I’d recommend it to anyone traveling through the area.

Locals suggested we visit Lindsborg on our recent trip, and the Viking Hotel gave us a welcome refuge from the severe storms moving through Kansas and Nebraska. The owners looked after our safety during the two nights we stayed. We could enjoy the visit with peace of mind.

The staff were already outside sweeping and salting the sidewalks before most guests were awake on that bitterly cold Saturday morning. They saw us loading the car and brought over two hot coffees and two mildly hot teas for the kids. We hadn’t planned to stop in Lindsborg, but a snowstorm caught us off guard on the drive home from Nebraska to Oklahoma the day after Thanksgiving. My wife found this cute little place, and they’d even turned on the heat about 30 minutes before we arrived. If I travel this way again, I’ll stop at the Viking motel.

The woman who checked us in was pleasant, but we didn’t see anyone else from the hotel. When we left at 8, the office was closed, so there was no coffee or continental breakfast. If we visit Linsborg again, we’d probably look for another hotel.

It’s not upscale, but the price reflects that. For what you pay, the room is clean, comfortable, safe, and very updated.
