The space felt like a luxury apartment, and the value made it even better. There were several large windows, mood lighting, and plenty of room to get ready, spread out, and tuck our things away. The bedroom was spotless and uncluttered, with the dining table, microwave, fridge, and coffee station in the main area. I liked that tea was provided and the toiletries weren’t single-use. The shared kitchen sink nearby was handy for filling my water bottle. The mattress and bedding were comfortable, but I had trouble sleeping because the room was too warm, and the thermostat was locked. My husband sleeps hot and slept well. We also easily found the cheaper hospital parking, just kitty-corner from The Intrepid. Several restaurants were close by, and the location was walkable.

Set on the second floor of a historic downtown Duluth building, these hotel suites are quite unique. Ours was clean, modern, and comfortable, with a location that made it easy to get to pubs, a bakery, cafes, entertainment venues, and shops along Superior Street. The nearby hospital complex was convenient, too. Self check-in was easy, and management was helpful by phone, text, and email.

The place was clean and nice, felt secure, and the instructions for using the door codes were clear. Several restaurants and even the lighthouses are within walking distance. I was a little confused by the parking charge and how it appeared on the invoice. My email to the address provided got no reply, but the woman I reached by phone was very helpful. I’d definitely stay again.

We’ll be back for sure. The property was comfortable and beautiful, and it’s close to all kinds of places to go, from restaurants and bars to theaters and shops.

We paid for a suite, but during the snowstorm no one was at the property and we couldn’t get inside the building, let alone reach our room. It was hard to get a real person on the phone, and when we finally did, they didn’t seem to know what was going on. We never saw the room, and they told us we couldn’t cancel. A terrible experience.
