The pool and gym looked nice, though we didn't try them, and having a fridge and microwave in the room was useful. A colleague staying with us found two roaches in their room and had to switch rooms. The room itself felt more motel than hotel, with an old courtyard and very few amenities. Breakfast isn't free, and the Bistro prices felt like a rip-off: an $11.50 sandwich and $4 to $5 Starbucks coffee could make breakfast close to $20 before even heading to work. Even Motel-6 or Best Western offer complimentary breakfast. The bathroom was especially frustrating. The toilet sat very low and had a tiny round seat, so even sitting as far back as possible, the front of my junk touched the inside of the bowl. The sink drained poorly, leaving spit, toothpaste, or old soap sitting in pooled water. The shower handle wouldn't stay put at the 9 o'clock hot-water setting and dropped on its own to scalding heat. The towel bar was above the toilet and low enough that a towel touched the tank. One nice extra was the free coffee and cookies at the Residence Inn next door, where we slipped in after lunch.

The location works, though the hotel sits farther off I-40 than other places. I didn't check in at the desk or interact with anyone during my stay. My room was clean, but it smelled old and musty, and the whole place feels dated. The rooms were smaller than at most Courtyards where I stay. It needs a remodel, especially given that the rates are similar to nearby hotels that offer a much nicer stay.

The room was fine, though the heat felt a little weak and there wasn't an extra blanket. We still slept okay. My girlfriend and I both noticed how professional the receptionist was after we checked in. I think her name was Saxley. She was so on top of everything that it felt like checking into a Four Seasons. This five-star rating is for the hotel, and especially for her.

We came with family for a home game weekend and had a wonderful stay. The check-in was quick and smooth, and the front desk girl was really nice. She even gave us a little gift bag. I don't usually choose Courtyards, but this experience made me consider other locations. The helpful staff and cleanliness are good reasons to stay here :)

My mother-in-law and I stayed the night before her surgery, and being close to Park West hospital was very convenient. We got a first-floor handicapped room, which worked perfectly. The room was quiet and comfortable. My husband and I also enjoyed drinks at the Bistro, where the bartender was very good. I'd definitely come back.
