Quality Inn & Suites

My two boys play Pokemon at CM Games across the street, and I didn't want to drive home late, so staying here worked out great. I got a double room for the price of a single at the “nicer” hotels. It is a little worn, as other reviews mention, but that was what I expected at this price. If you go in expecting what you paid for, you won't be disappointed. Expect the Ritz Carlton for Red Roof prices, though, and you will be.

The bed was comfortable, and it cost less than the nearby motels. The building is old, the room was below average, and it wasn't especially clean. Check-in means walking across a large lobby, but you can't get to the rooms from there, so don't haul your bags in with you. I wouldn't want to arrive late. You get what you pay for.

There was no hot water, the heater couldn't warm the room, and the whole motel was a mess. When we asked for a refund, they said no because we'd been in the room for 15 minutes. Ten of those minutes were spent with them trying to get things working, without success. Then they said the money was for a technician they'd called to fix the furnace, which had nothing to do with the hot water problem. Don't stay there.

We were exhausted and needed somewhere to stop, so we booked by phone several hours before arriving. The man on the phone was friendly and quoted $50 for tonight and $65 for tomorrow. I care for a senior and a special-needs baby on oxygen who needs G-tube feedings, and we were very low on money. Friends were meant to help us pay for the next night, so we had enough for a $50 deposit and tonight's $50. With tax, tonight would have been $59, leaving us with no money, but at least we'd have a roof over us. At the desk, the man was rude and insisted tonight cost $65, no matter what. I tried explaining that we were tired and had made the reservation, but he still refused. Now we're back in traffic with nowhere to stay. People make me sick anymore.
