Tru by Hilton Knoxville West Turkey Creek

The location worked perfectly for our soccer tournament, with restaurants and shops nearby. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The front desk was very polite when we had questions. I'd recommend staying here if you're after a nice place to relax.

I had the best sleep of my trip here, and the hotel was so quiet. The rooms were perfect, breakfast was included, and I loved the hours: check-in at 3 and checkout at 12. That gives you time to explore or just rest after a long drive or flight without having to get up at the crack of dawn. There are plenty of nearby amenities, so finding a store isn't a worry, and the pet policy isn't extreme. The price made bringing a pet affordable, which I appreciated. I only stayed a day, but everyone I met, especially the front desk, was wonderful. I completely recommend this Tru by Hilton as a temporary home base for exploring Nashville or resting during travel. It's also very easy to find.

While using the bathroom in the middle of the night, I saw a roach run across the floor. We reported it right away and showed proof to the front desk, but nothing happened. We weren't offered another room, and were told only the manager, Hershey, could issue a refund. They gave us his email and said we'd have to wait because he only worked weekdays. As of this review, he still hasn't replied. This hotel has roaches. Zoom in and you can see one in the corner between the tub and the door. It seems to be an ongoing issue, since I later saw an earlier guest had also reported a roach. We shouldn't have stayed after seeing the rating was under 4.0.

I walked into the room and found ants. They wouldn't switch rooms and offered to spray the room instead. I love the idea of breathing those chemicals while I sleep. They brought out the spray quickly, which made me wonder if this wasn't the first time. Another reviewer had the same ant problem and also found a toenail on the bed. I was lucky to notice the bugs right away and leave before finding out what else was there. The two front office employees seemed completely apathetic. The hotel is also not easy to find: GPS sent me to the wrong street, though maybe it'll be corrected by the time you read this. A top review says it's easy to locate. That was either bought, or the reviewer got lucky and didn't have to deal with the problems I did. This isn't the service I expect from a Hilton brand hotel, and it's disgraceful for Hilton. Stay somewhere else unless you want to roll the dice on a bug-infested room.
