La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Kokomo

The breakfast was the best I've had anywhere in the States, and the staff were relaxed but really accommodating. There's a lovely lobby, an exercise room, laundry, good WiFi, and plenty of parking. The room had a full-length mirror, a handy second sink in the living area, a good desk, and enough room to hang clothes plus a decent-sized dresser, which helped on a longer trip. It was also kid-friendly and quiet. Check-in was quick, the staff were respectful and helpful, and housekeeping stayed on top of things without disturbing me while my Do Not Disturb sign was up. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the shower was nice with hot water. There was a fridge, reasonable TV selection, fluffy newer towels, washcloths and hand towels, and great soap and shampoo. The extra sink made morning coffee and snacks easier. It's the best reasonably priced place I've stayed in Kokomo. I'd give it 10 stars if I could, and highly recommend it for any occasion, especially kids' parties with the pool and breakfast.

The room was quiet and clean, and the shower was clean with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was fine, and the room was warm and clean. Online check-in made things easy; I just stopped to get my key. There was a slight smell in the room, maybe because the heater hadn't been running. It's a hotel, but this company has always given me a pleasant stay.

I liked the room overall and it was clean, but while doing my own wipe-down with Lysol I spotted a french fry on the floor beside the bed. Someone should have caught that in a final once-over.

The one good thing was being able to walk with my family to texas roadhouse. The room carpet was dirty, and I even found dog hair. I told the front desk, but they didn't seem to care and said housekeeping had left and would deal with it tomorrow. The shower was dirty too. My family and I stayed there, but we won't be going back.
