We packed food and drinks since we knew shops and restaurants were about 25-30 minutes away. Still, we had a really enjoyable stay and would happily come back. The river area out back and the local Kyburz lodge tavern were nice extras. Our room was clean, with a good shower, comfy beds, a microwave and a mini fridge. The inn felt recently updated, and the area was quiet and seemed safe. Check-in was easy, there was plenty of free parking, and it was great that they accepted pets. The bathroom door could use a lock, and the microwave and mini coffee maker could be newer.

The room was very clean, and the wood-like floor worked well for our dog, especially compared with carpet in snowy weather. The inn looks recently remodeled. There was a good-sized fridge, a small microwave and coffee maker, plus tea, hot chocolate, coffee packets and a couple of small water bottles. The wall-mounted shampoo, conditioner and shower gel smelled great and worked well, though the shower itself was small. They didn't provide tissues. The bedding was good quality, but the pillows were fairly flat and the mattress firmer than I like. A great stop, and I'd stay again when passing through.

The staff made us feel welcome, and service was great. We found the hotel very clean, with comfortable rooms and useful family amenities like a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The surroundings are beautiful, and the location is fantastic for skiing at Sierra at Tahoe resort. What a find!

The river location was great for our twin 11-year-old boys, and we'd definitely stay again. The beds were comfortable, the TV worked, and the bathrooms were clean. It looks like this nice motel has been redone recently.

It was easy to get to nearby hiking and snow tubing from here. The room was modern and clean, and the price was good. We had a really great experience and would definitely stay again.
