Hatchery Riverside Hotel & Event Venue

I didn’t stay in a room, but The Hatchery is a fantastic place for cocktails. Everything is top shelf, and the friendly, professional mixologists and staff are happy to explain a cocktail or straight liquor. The lounge, event room, outdoor patio with the bourbon and bubbles bar, and rooftop are all excellent. They’ve put care into the little things. It’s within walking distance of downtown, the boat docks, and the Oktoberfest grounds. If you’re after quality drinks, personal service, and a great view, give it a try. My favorite is the butter washed old fashioned.

I’d wanted to stay at The Hatchery for a while, and finally got to visit with my daughter. We spent the first ten minutes in our beautiful, spacious room looking at all the details. It even had a working record player and records, which we thought was really cool. The room was extremely clean and smelled great, with Fiji water in the mini fridge, not the cheap stuff you find at other hotels. In the hall, a small fridge held complimentary drinks, fruit, cheese sticks, and yogurt. There was also a coffee and tea station with individual bags of snacks, and fresh scones from a local coffee house in the morning. If you like unique, beautiful boutique hotels, you’ll love this one. We’ll definitely be back.

The rooms were stylish and had great energy, and the hotel was far beyond what we expected. Check-in was simple, and the communication was excellent from the time we made our reservation. We plan to stay here again when we return to the area.

We booked on the day because of a family illness over Christmas, then decided to add a third night. I texted on Christmas Eve at 7pm and got a quick response, with no forms to fill out. It was so easy. The brand new rooms are chic and nicely decorated, and the shower has amazing water pressure. There’s a hallway station with free drinks, snacks, and coffee, and I liked the scent in the entryway. Downtown LAX is an easy walk away. A delightful little hotel and a great deal. Highly recommend.
