Best Western Plus Chicagoland - Countryside

The best part of our stay was the fresh breakfast. The hotel itself was just OK. My wife and I have stayed four of our five nights so far, but housekeeping hasn't come in once to empty the trash or change the towels, even though we were out for several hours each day.

Update: We called a couple of times asking them to sort out our refund. They kept saying they'd print the papers and give them to the manager, but nothing happened. After making us wait over 90 days, they said they couldn't do anything. You guys are liars. I want my money back. I’m so mad about this hotel. My husband called and was always told the manager wasn't there. They said they printed the paper and passed it to the manager, but we waited a month and got nowhere. He even left a review, and they still told him to call, but did nothing. They wasted our time. We booked at Best Western Plus Chicagoland – Countryside for a short trip near Chicago. As soon as we entered, the air conditioner was so loud it was hard to relax, so we checked out soon after arriving. The front desk confirmed the checkout and said we'd get a refund. Despite calls and emails, it never came. We disputed the charge with our bank and got a temporary refund, then the hotel charged us again without telling us. When we contacted the hotel, staff found our visit in their records and confirmed we checked out early. They said a manager would get in touch to fix it, but nobody has. This has been frustrating. I hope they improve their communication and refund process for future guests.

UPDATE AGAIN I called so many times, but you let more than 90 days pass, then said you couldn't do anything. I lost money for a hotel I never stayed at. Update: To be clear, I did stay at Best Western Plus Chicagoland - Countryside. I booked this hotel for my Chicago trip and physically came there. I called the number they provided, and staff checked the records, confirmed my stay, and printed documents about my visit. They said a manager would follow up, but even after several more days, I still had no contact or resolution. I also have documentation showing I booked another hotel that same day after leaving Best Western Plus. This has been frustrating and disappointing, and I expect a proper resolution promptly. I stayed at Best Western Plus in Chicago in May. The room's a/c was extremely dirty and loud, so I asked to check out immediately and requested a refund. The front desk said it would go back to my bank account, and when I asked for a copy, he said it would be emailed to me. Months passed after my trip, with no refund and no reply to my calls or emails. I had to dispute the charge with my card company, which gave me a temporary refund. Then I found Best Western Plus had charged me again without notifying or explaining it. That's unacceptable and unprofessional. I'm still disputing that charge. Be cautious about staying here: customer service hasn't responded, and they failed to provide a clean room or handle the refund properly. I expect the incorrect charge to be refunded promptly.

The hotel was fine, and the continental breakfast bar had plenty of choices and was really good. My one gripe was that the receptionist seemed more focused on their phone than on customers at times.
