Rodeway Inn La Mesa

On June 17, housekeeping brought a microwave up to my room. The management was very accommodating and fair, including working with me on the $100 cash deposit they asked for. That may have been because I’d prepaid through Expedia. The remodeled rooms are much nicer than before, and a lot nicer than the pictures suggest, though the beds are still the same and feel fairly cheap. They’re comfortable enough, I guess. As of 6/15/13, rooms didn’t all have coffee makers, and there weren’t any microwaves at first. Asking for a coffee maker felt like I’d asked the housekeeper for the family’s firstborn. There are plenty of lights, but the rooms are still hard to light well, and the HVAC units seem weak for such large rooms. It’s not the best place I’ve stayed, but it was comfortable and affordable enough to do the job.
