Inn At Taughannock Falls

We loved the lake view, the clean room, and the jetted hot tub, and it was great that we could bring our dogs. The restaurant was closed for winter, but they still served a delicious breakfast with fabulous service. Patrice showed my friend and me the new bridal suite and made us great drinks. Dani handled check-in and check-out quickly, checked whether we needed anything, and chatted with us at breakfast. Owner Carl and chef Dirk made my husband feel welcome, talking with him outside by the portable heaters. We took a New Year hike to the falls, then stopped for hot chocolate at the coffee hut. We'll definitely be back!

The location was perfect, with the trail to Taughannock Falls right beside our park side room. We had drinks at the bar one night and dinner afterward, and enjoyed both the food and atmosphere. The room was clean, roomy, and comfortable, with a large updated bathroom, tub and shower, plus a mini fridge and microwave. Breakfast was much better than I expected from the website's mention of a continental breakfast: they had eggs, potatoes, tea, coffee, and pastries. The woman working breakfast was especially kind and offered to bring me toasted gluten-free bread, which doesn't happen often. We really enjoyed our stay, and it was our favorite place on the trip.

Photographing a wedding at the Inn at Taughannock Falls as a vendor was such a joy. The team was wonderful to work with, and the day ran smoothly. With the falls and surrounding landscape as a backdrop, there were stunning moments to photograph all day. I'd love to photograph another wedding there soon.

Dinner was fabulous. I tried a fried pork chop for the first time and loved it. We had to leave early and weren't hungry, so we missed the included breakfast, though the dining room looked gorgeous. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable, with great mattresses and bedding. Little things like bottled water and chocolate made a difference. Outside, white Adirondack chairs and plenty of fire pits are spread around the property. The inn is beautiful, right across the street from Cayuga Lake with lovely views. If we're back in the area, we'll stay here again.
