The place has a lot of charm, and you can tell it’s built sturdier than newer hotels. The rooms were quiet too, so we didn’t hear everyone showering or walking the halls. Grounds were tidy, the decor felt nice and well made, and breakfast was great. The staff were friendly and efficient. Definitely worth what we paid, and I’d come back.

We won’t be coming back. The ice machine needs cleaning or replacing because black mold was coming out with the ice. When I tried to tell the front desk, the two women were busy gossiping about workplace drama and watching the tip jar. They didn’t even greet me, though they paid attention if anyone stood near the jar. Breakfast also had very few fresh fruit choices. The air conditioning needs cleaning, and housekeeping should be taught to move things and wipe underneath them.

The pool and hot tub were excellent, and check-in and checkout were easy. The area seemed safe, with a couple of restaurants within walking distance. Rooms were clean, roomy, comfortable, and everything worked. The hotel does feel old for a full five-star rating, and there are no elevators. Breakfast choices were weaker than at similar hotels. The TV selection was poor and didn’t support casting, and the air conditioner was loud.

Tiffanie, the manager at BW La Pine, has been helpful and kind every time I’ve made a reservation. The whole staff has been lovely. If you need a place to stay in La Pine, this is easily the best option.

I like the comfort at Best Western hotels, and I’ll be staying in Lapine soon. The pools and free breakfast that comes with the stay are great, and the customer service is the best. There’s one in every town.
