Fairway Inn La Porte

We found a bed bug in the room, and the staff member or owner didn't seem concerned when we complained. He was rude to me and other guests, short tempered, and unprofessional. I also heard guests talk about an incident mentioned in other reviews, where the owner allegedly pulled a gun on a customer. That was disturbing and made the place feel unsafe. After seeing multiple complaints from other guests, I wouldn't recommend staying here. I hope management improves cleanliness and customer service.

I paid for a room at the “Fairway Inn” of La Porte/Baytown and arrived at 1:30, only to be turned away because OYO had apparently ghosted them. The front desk will happily lead you to think they're affiliated with OYO, but they're definitely not. Their promised “48-hour resolution” has been dragging on like a slow-motion comedy. It's been 11 days and I'm still waiting. If you want a laugh at your own expense, this is the place, just don't count on getting your room or your money back.

The rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly and ready to help make the stay more comfortable. My only issue was that I had to use my own mobile hotspot to get the TV working. Apart from that, everything was fine.

The hallways were extremely hot with no AC, and there are no elevators or help getting to the second floor. Everything felt extremely dirty, like it hadn't been wiped down since the place was built. They charge way too much for every little thing and offer nothing. The heavy set white lady at the front desk always seemed like she was on something and wasn't friendly. I really don't recommend staying here.
