Courtyard by Marriott Omaha La Vista

The soft water was the standout for me. I grew up with it and have always had it, so I really appreciate finding it in a hotel. I’ve only stayed in one other hotel in my life that had soft water. Driving here can feel congested at first, but once you get the hang of the area it’s okay. If you can make it to Costco, you can get here, lol. It’s a very nice place to stay.

Candi at the front desk is the one bright spot here. She’s genuinely kind and treats guests wonderfully, and she deserves recognition. I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 because of her. The room at this Courtyard by Marriott was unacceptable: blood stains on the comforter, stains on the floor, and holes in the ceiling. The bartender was rude again, just like last year. After their response, it doesn’t seem like they really care.

I stay here weekly for work because I like the rooms, the convenience, and how close it is to my job. This week I finally went down to the bistro for a drink and something to eat, and got to chat with Rob, the bartender. He was personable, and we talked about his family, restaurants, and other things. I saw him connecting with all the other customers, too. He really makes guests feel cared about, and I’ll start stopping by the bistro each week just to chat with him.

I’d locked myself out of my adjoining room late one night during a conference stay. The adjoining door was shut and locked, and the dead bolt was on my door. Slaydell at the front desk understood and quickly got Brandon to help open it. They were both kind, and I was back in my room in no time.
