Best Western Plus Lafayette Hotel University Area

The value is hard to beat, and the location is ideal, with little highway noise. I’ve stayed here several times, and it keeps up with the larger chains nearby for location, room quality, and cleanliness. The staff are always welcoming, and the rooms are kept in great shape. The pillows are noticeably fluffier and fuller than the ones at nearby hotels, which makes the stay especially comfortable.

My daughter is a nurse at a hospital near this hotel, and she was stuck in Lafayette for several days because of the snowstorm. On her third night, she decided to stay here, and BW went above and beyond by even getting her birthday flowers. The lady who took my call last Tuesday was absolutely fantastic and sooooo kind. I wish I’d gotten her name. I can’t praise this hotel enough. Thanks again, there really are good people in this world. I’ll make a reservation there in the future.

We had a great stay. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff friendly. There were lots of breakfast options. I do recommend adding lighting for swimming in the pool at night.

This was extremely disappointing during an already stressful time. I was heading to Indiana for Thanksgiving and booked the Best Western in Lafayette at the last minute for November 28 and 29th. The night before, November 27, I had a family emergency and immediately canceled online through Expedia. I got notice that the reservation was canceled, but was still charged one and a half times the cost of the two nights. Expedia told me to contact the hotel directly. When I called Best Western and explained the emergency, they refused to make any exception, saying there was a Purdue game that weekend. I’d only booked two days earlier, but they still wouldn’t offer any flexibility. Worse, my card was charged the full cost of both nights, not the one-and-a-half-night penalty I’d been told to expect. I was back the following week for a funeral and, needless to say, didn’t stay there. I’ll never stay there again. Be very careful when booking and make sure you understand the cancellation policies. There was absolutely no room for an exception, even in an emergency.
