Loft #5 had everything I needed and was spacious. I haven't been this comfortable during a stay in ages. Each loft is different since they're individually owned. The only small drawbacks were trash outside the building entrance, a downstairs vestibule that could use fresh paint and cleaner floors, and hallways that needed vacuuming.

There are nine rooms in this nice boutique loft inn. Entry is electronic, with automated door locks and digital keypads. Parking is assigned by room number, catty-corner across the street. The shopping and bar area on Jefferson is easy to reach on foot.

I rented a loft from Leah for a month while working as a traveling nurse. She knew I had two dogs and two kids and answered yes to all my questions so we could get in quickly. She said the neighborhood was safe and pointed out the hallway cameras. The very next day, homeless people asked my kids for money in the parking lot, and people without housing were often right outside the entrance. Residents also give the main door code to food delivery workers. We weren't allowed to make noise, even during the day. Leah called me at work on the first day because my dog was barking. I said the dogs needed time to adjust to the new place, but she called again at dinner that night. Meanwhile, I could hear people partying in other lofts all night from Thursday through Sunday. Lots of little things in the apartment didn't work properly, and neighbors complained about every tiny noise. It was uncomfortable, to say the least. At the end, Leah charged my card twice more, saying the loft smelled too much like dogs. I had specifically said I didn't authorize any additional charges, but she charged me another $237 total. This might work for one person or a couple who want to join in the festivities, but my family's experience was absolutely horrible.

There was plenty of space for us to have friends over for a card game and drinks before dinner. The place was also close enough to all the best downtown spots. I really enjoyed the stay, especially for the great price, full kitchen, and all that room.

We stayed in May for a concert just one block away, and walked to dinner and breakfast the next morning. The place was extremely clean, comfortable, quiet, and felt like home. Check-in was seamless, and the location can't be beat. Highly recommend.
