My Place Hotel-East Moline/Quad Cities, IL

Great price, and the rooms were super clean. We only stayed one night, but we'd highly recommend the place and stay again for any overnight trips in the QC.

We came for an event at the Expo center and could get there from the first floor using our room key, so we never had to walk outside in the cold. The staff were welcoming from arrival through checkout. Our room, kitchen, and bathroom were clean and properly stocked. The heater worked exceptionally well, keeping the third-floor room warm on low. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The toilet rocked, though, and our view was of the Expo building roof. There was a train nearby, but we never found it distracting and slept fine. The full kitchen amenities make this a good choice for a multi-day stay. There isn't a workout facility, which was a downside for us. Restaurants are 10-15 minutes away on foot. I personally wouldn't walk, but everyone has their own comfort level.

The hotel is brand new, and even though it's online, it seems people haven't discovered it yet. For the price of my room, I was blown away by the quality. They've cut out the bells and whistles and the cost to match, but put a lot of thought into details so you don't feel shortchanged. The front desk staff stop what they're doing to face and greet you when you enter the lobby, which is terrific hospitality. The elevator glides so quietly you barely know you're moving. Bathroom lights are super bright. There's no floor joint to trip over between the hall and bathroom, and the sink faucet and toilet flush are quiet enough not to wake roommates at night. The ice maker is in the refrigerator, so there's none in the hallway. Every bed has a soft, plush throw for a nap without messing up the bed. The full-size pillows come in firm and soft, so you can choose what suits you. They got so many details right, and the ones that make it feel like a luxury hotel without the fuss or extra cost. I'll stay here every time I'm in the area without hesitation. Perfect stay!

The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was well appointed. The customer service was great, too. With a full fridge, stovetop, microwave, and toaster, you could stay for a while with ease. Just bring your own gear, like a skillet and spoons.
