We treated ourselves to a little staycation before the holidays at La Casa Del Camino, and my wife and I can’t wait to return. We stayed on the 23rd and 24th and checked out on Christmas Eve. The property was quiet, and although we were initially disappointed that the rooftop bar closes Mondays and Tuesdays, there were plenty of great local places to walk to. The beach is literally steps away, and the best ice cream spot is across the street. The hotel feels like a gem in Laguna, with cute artwork and holiday decorations that made it warm and cozy, especially the huge lobby fireplace. Our room was cozy but had everything we needed; I could have stayed in it for days. I loved opening the window for the fresh ocean air. Everyone we met was helpful, attentive, and professional, especially Jim, Martin, and Kim. I’d already been to the rooftop bar, which has great food and killer drinks, and that’s what brought me to stay here. It made the holiday break feel special.

The view from the Rooftop restaurant was worth coming back for on a different day, since it rained during our honeymoon stay. We were surprised by how many locals were there, but understood the hotspot buzz once the food and drinks arrived. The happy hour is great, and it’s worth catching sunset up there. La Casa Del Camino was a perfect place for our SoCal honeymoon. We were right on the water, with shops, restaurants, and beaches within easy walking distance. Our updated room was stylish and comfortable, with a stunning ocean view that especially impressed us coming from Wisconsin. The 24-hour coffee and tea station was a thoughtful extra for tea lovers like us. Before arriving, I called to arrange roses, chocolates, coconut water, and a few of my wife’s favorite things as a surprise. The staff had it all set up beautifully, which made the room feel romantic right away. Everyone was warm, thoughtful, and knew the area well. Between the service, location, views, and attention to detail, we’ll absolutely be back. Thank you, La Casa Del Camino!

The staff were incredibly kind and supportive, and I’d be very happy to return. The place is only steps from the beach, with an incredible terrace and uninterrupted views. I also liked the flowing layout from the hall to the rooms. The travertine shower and copper sink in the room were much appreciated.

I’ve stayed here twice and am glad there’s a parking lot. It’s an old, unique place, very close to a beautiful beach, with lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The price isn’t too bad compared with other places in Laguna.

The Rooftop bar has a nice sunset view, though the food is basic. I’d go for cocktails and appetizers, or expect more of a bar menu. I believe they serve breakfast and open at 10 for it. The beach access is right nearby, down a lot of steps to a cove. Several receptionists didn’t know what live music or other events were happening. The website asks guests to mention special occasions so the hotel can arrange a special touch, but we were celebrating our anniversary and got no mention or help with reservations. We were simply told to call the rooftop ourselves.
