The layout was confusing at first, and I wish they’d provide clearer maps. More tissues and toilet paper would help too, and there were a lot of empty parking spaces that could be used for free parking. On-site parking costs $20 a night, though it’s free during the day. The front desk closes at 5:30 p.m.; after that, street parking is very limited and towing starts at 8 a.m., or there’s a private lot across from the church for $25 a night. The grounds also have cats roaming around, so keep that in mind if you have allergies. Our family had a good three-night stay at the Outrigger. The suite was spacious and had a fridge, dishwasher, and TV. Each room had its own air conditioner, which kept things cool in Maui’s heat. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the bathroom had a strong walk-in shower and extra towels. We did run out of tissues halfway through, though. There were beach towels, snorkeling equipment, umbrellas, chairs, and other useful beach items available. The resort had tropical landscaping, pools, and lounge chairs that looked clean, but we chose the beach instead, so I can’t speak to using them.
