Old Lahaina House

We hadn’t borrowed a bike, but would have loved to take one to the nearby restaurants and shops. We only stumbled on this little gem because we’d accidentally underbooked our honeymoon and needed a place for one night. Sherry, Tiana and Renee were friendly and helpful, and our room was clean and cozy with everything we needed and more. It was easy to grab a beach chair and walk across the street to the beach, then rinse off in the outdoor shower and splash in the pool. They had the best shampoo and conditioner of anywhere else we stayed! We wish we could’ve stayed longer. Thanks for a wonderful night and memories that’ll last a lifetime.

The Old Lahaina House was just what I needed while traveling Maui in a camper van: a change of pace, a hot shower, and a cool room. I booked late at night, and Sherry greeted me along with her two dogs. Before I checked into my clean room, she took me on the 60-second walk to the beach to look at the stars. The room had everything I could need. If you’re in Maui and don’t need an expensive hotel, this is the place to stay.

Mornings are lovely by the pool with coffee beside the sunbathing animals at Old Lahaina House. The guesthouse is across from a beach, and the local community has an authentic Hawaiian vibe, with welcoming neighbors. Our bright, cozy room had a coffee machine, coffee and creamer, dishes, a roomy mini fridge, microwave, towels, extra linens, plus our own bathroom and closet. If you need anything else, Sherry is always available. Sherry and her family made my first trip to Maui feel like being at home. The owner, staff, and animals all helped make the place warm and loving. Our first night was just a taste of the week, which kept getting better. Sherry built a beautiful, comfortable, accommodating environment at Old Lahaina House, so leaving Hawaii felt bittersweet. Every morning and evening she’d come out of her office to chat about our time on the remarkable island and offer advice to help us make the most of it. The light in the rooms brings in lovely sunrises, tropical views, and the local birds singing. Thank you for giving us such a lasting impression of Hawaii.

The room was nicely decorated and comfortable, with a lanai looking over the pool. They’ve anticipated so much a vacationer might need, including beach chairs, snorkeling gear, laundry service, a mini-fridge, and more. It’s in a great location, and we’ll definitely return to Maui soon if we can. Sherry and the whole staff really live up to “Aloha.” They made us feel welcome and looked after from start to finish, with clear booking communication and flexibility at checkout.
