Martinique Condo at Blue Heron Resort

I got the few quiet days I was hoping for. From the third floor, I had a decent view of the lake and pool, and the pool area was spotless. The restrooms and little gym nearby were just as clean. There’s a spot by the pool for small meals and drinks, lots of parking, and several places to eat within a five-minute walk. I’d definitely return.

The lake view was breathtaking, and you can see the parks’ fireworks from the front. The location is superb, and my unit was very good apart from a few small ants. The women at the front desk were lovely, but the manager I needed to speak with was really rude. That turned a great experience into just an okay one. I probably wouldn’t stay again if he were still working there.

We stayed in unit 1201 through VRBO for a few days while visiting Disney and other attractions. The resort itself was fine, with a good location and amenities. Check-in was seamless, the towels were clean and high quality, and the owner had provided beach towels for the pool. The kitchen had what we needed, and the patio had a nice view. Getting to Disney Springs and the parks was convenient. The unit was very clean, and the maintenance issues I reported to the owner were minor. Since we were at the end of the building, we hardly heard the neighbors, but road noise in the bedroom facing the street was pretty bad. It was also my first VRBO stay without toilet paper or paper towels. I know some rentals do that, but I hadn’t run into it before and probably didn’t read the agreement carefully enough. The light in the front bedroom was very bright at night, even with the curtains closed.

My cousin and her daughter came for the ESPN cheer event, and my daughter and I joined them for one night. The one-bedroom place had plenty of space, with a bunk bed in the hall leading to the kitchen and living room, plus a couch that opened into a bed. The balcony looked out over the pool and docks on the water.
