OYO Hotel Lake Charles LA I-10

I’ll never go back, and my friends and family, quite a few of them, will hear about the attitude and poor service people get even when they’re being polite. One front desk worker tends to fall asleep, leaving customers’ personal information and the business’s money out in the open. When I complained about my room, he got hostile and kept yelling. I told him I had 2 issues, but his sleeping and nobody else being there had made it 3, and asked how that was safe for customers. I was direct, not giving attitude. He went on a rampage. The owner handled it pretty well at first, but later that night I went up to pay for a room for a sweet, fine looking young man who needed a bed for the night. Since it’s cheap, I thought I’d get it there. I politely asked the owner if he was the person I’d spoken to on the phone earlier. He snapped, asking if I’d come up just to repeat myself, ramble, and complain. I said I was actually going to compliment his customer service from that afternoon. He replied, “okay? And? Do you ever stop repeating yourself”. I said I was complimenting him, but wow, okay. That completely changed how I felt about the place. The front desk worker’s excuse was, “you do know how cheap these rooms are right?” I said I’d stayed places that were cheaper with way better service and felt safe.
