Rodeway Inn & Suites

The renovated rooms are nice, and the staff are nice too. We had a decent stay otherwise. But some people arguing in the parking lot scared me and my children enough that we left for another hotel. Staff did try to get them to leave, and I respect that. When it comes to my kids, though, safety comes first.

The main downside at this location is highway noise, though that's to be expected since it's right off the highway. I definitely recommend it. I travel a lot for military training, and in the past year I may have stayed at 10-12 different Motel 6's. Every one has been just right for what I need. They offer a generous military discount, FYI, though Motel 6 prices are hard to beat anyway. The old reviews for this Motel 6 don't apply. I asked to see the room before paying, and they were totally fine with that and very mannerly. Keep in mind it's a *1-star hotel.* There's the same slight funky cleaning-product smell you get in rooms at a 1-star place. The heater/cooler looks a little beat up, but it works, as does everything else in the room. The linen was clean, the bathroom well tended, and the furniture was just enough for one traveler or a pair. Glad to support this Motel and the other Motel 6's I've stayed at. They've done me a great service, both as military and in general. I only found out about the military discount recently.

The floors were filthy, with dirt and marks everywhere, and my feet turned black from walking on them. I also found black hair in the tub and on the bathroom floor, plus dead bugs in the corners. We asked for a refund and were offered another room, but when we looked at it, it was worse than the first. Brittany at the desk was rude and unhelpful. She wouldn't give us a working number for the manager or owner, and said our refund would take two weeks. I'm very disappointed and will be contacting Better Business Beaureau.

It's somewhere to sleep, not much else. The room was kinda clean, though there were burn marks along the edge of the tub from hot crack pipes. On the other hand, if you're looking to get high and invite multiple sex partvers, or pick a few up while trolling the parking lot, I'd recommend it. You can keep that away from your home and still get $60 worth of peace of mind.
