The room itself was clean and had enough towels, but both the lotion and shampoo dispensers were empty. Getting help was difficult from the start: the front door was locked with a note saying staff were working in back because they were short-handed. After ringing the bell, we were told someone would come right over, but waited around 20 minutes before an employee showed up. The next morning, the lobby door was locked again. We rang several times and waited about 12 minutes with other guests, then gave up and went across the street to McDonald’s for breakfast. It didn't look like anyone was working anywhere on site. With service like that, I can't recommend this hotel for even a night or two. If we had been locked out of our room or faced an emergency, it seemed there might be nobody around to help, including housekeeping.

Our stay during Artfields was a real letdown. The coffee pot had mold, breakfast wasn't ready or complete as advertised, and the service was poor.

The cable was so unreliable that everything we tried to watch kept freezing for several minutes, so you'll probably have to use your phone for TV. The rooms, though, were very clean and seemed recently renovated, and management was nice. If you're mainly looking for a clean place to rest, this is a good option.

The tub and toilet were dirty enough that I bought my own cleaning supplies so I wouldn't have to deal with the front desk clerk again. He was rude and had a terrible attitude. I was outside smoking, but he came around the building and warned me he'd charge a $150 fine if I smoked in the room. I wouldn't stay there again and can't recommend it.

The room turned out clean, comfortable, spacious, and nicely put together. Parking was good, and the stay was peaceful, so I'll come back whenever I'm in this area. I especially appreciated the friendly woman who took time to talk with me and made me feel welcome. I told her I was checking in late because of a bad roach experience in a room I'd rented in Kings tree, and we talked about the poor reviews I'd read. She suggested I write one if I enjoyed my stay. The man at the front desk had seemed like he'd had a bad day when I arrived, but I stayed calm and he seemed less defensive by the time I checked in.
