The Geneva Inn

We used to love this place, but after what happened on 10/19/25, I won’t bring my family back. We’d eaten lunch there and were looking up the best route to Williams Bay on a computer. A man around 55 or 60, driving a white pickup truck marked Geneva Inn, pulled up and started harassing us for parking in the lot. We weren’t parked. He was extremely rude and wouldn’t even let us finish a sentence. My kids asked why he was being so mean, so we explained that this isn’t how to treat people. Unfortunately, his actions mean we won’t be going there anymore.

The lake views are gorgeous, and there’s a nice place out back to sit and take them in. We also liked the balcony, and the hotel was clean with friendly staff. Its location is convenient for getting onto the Lake Shore Path. The restaurant food was average, though the view was lovely. The hotel is charming and the room was comfortable. It’s pricey for what you get, but I suppose that comes with being in a lake town.

Dinner was good and we had an enjoyable evening. The chef could work on the timing, though. Our food came out in waves instead of all at once.

We didn’t stay at Geneva Inn, just came for dinner, but I’ve included the room prices in my photos in case you want to see them. The evening was good, with nice views, good conversation, and some good food. The restaurant turned out to be very casual, not formal, and the service was very good. It was well lit, and the purses was very good. I got the flat iron steak with fries, which came with the steak on top of them. I’d never seen that before. My wife ordered the fish fry, cod, and you can choose two or three pieces. They’re huge, so unless you’re really hungry, one and a half should be enough. I didn’t take photos of our meals, but I did get some of the menu and the views around us. The bar was nice too.
