The food was the worst part of our visit. My husband and I tried the Pasta Renova menu: the pasta was mushy, the sauce tasted like it came from a jar, and the appetizer and salad were nothing special. The wine wasn’t drinkable either. We gave the Pub a chance on another night, but its menu had just three choices: an overpriced burger, a seafood quesadilla, or a salad, so we left. There aren’t many options nearby, but a chain like Olive Garden would cost half as much and serve a better meal. I can’t speak to the rooms since we never stayed at the inn. From outside, it looked more like a shabby family motel than an inn. The website mentions “restaurants,” though it’s really one large restaurant with different menus, and the decor is dated and needs a complete redo.

The servers treat you like long-lost family, and the food is outstanding. There are different menus and venues, with options for everyone from epicureans to lumberjacks. To me, it’s the best cuisine in the Poconos, and a must for anyone with an adventurous, discerning palate.

The portions were on the small side, which suited us Europeans, and the prices seemed good to excellent for the quality. The staff were helpful without hovering. Food here is excellent compared with what you can get elsewhere, and the decor is several steps above a typical diner.

The manager has been running the place for years and has kept the standard high. The food has always been outstanding when I’ve been here, with excellent flavors, well-prepared meat, and plenty of choices.

Dinner took ages to arrive and was barely edible. Our bartender/server, who I think was a woman, was much too friendly, and we felt uncomfortable. Seeing that we were the only people there should’ve been our cue to leave.
