Island Suites

The staff were friendly and helpful, and we liked the location, the price, and the breakfast choices. That's why our two-star rating is disappointing, especially since everything was great when we stayed a couple of years ago. This time the furnishings were extremely worn, as if they'd been bought used. The two occasional chairs felt like boards covered in fabric, and we couldn't rest comfortably on the mattress either. We both ended up with severe backaches, and we didn't get any rest. If the furniture were in better shape, this would be a great hotel. I guess you get what you pay for.

The staff were pleasant and friendly, and the rates were very reasonable. Our room was a nice size, clean, and quiet, with a king bed, refrigerator, microwave, and a shower-tub. The hot tub area was nice as well. I'd definitely stay here again.

One late evening we arrived with some good leftover protein and asked the front desk if there were any breakfast bagels left. Ember, if I'm remembering her name right, brought us fresh ones and even plated them with butter and cream cheese. That made one of the best midnight snacks we've had. The rooms are simple but well equipped, with a kitchenette, fridge, microwave, and everything was very clean. The location is convenient for London Bridge and all kinds of food and grocery stores. It's an exceptional value, and we'll stay here again when we return to LHC.

The heated pool was what caught my eye when I first stopped for a night, but I liked the place enough to extend for a couple more nights, then return for a month. After traveling a lot lately, this has been my favorite hotel in years. I've settled in easily for the month. The rooms are comfortable and very, very clean, even with kitchenettes that you'd hardly know get used. The staff are great, friendly, and always helpful. Some are wonderfully chatty too, if you're in the mood to socialize. I'm absolutely loving that heated pool.
