Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Lincoln North Hotel and Conference Center, NE

The reservation person at the hotel was super nice, and the price was reasonable. My large room had all the amenities, including a fireplace and a big hot tub, plus extra towels. I did have to ask for a hairdryer. The room smelled a little musty and could’ve used some airing out.

The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean with a neutral smell. The new shower stalls are nice, though the rooms are starting to feel worn. I’ve stayed here lots of times over the past three years, and I think they need to put some time and money into maintenance and freshening the place up. Nothing is too worn yet, but it’s getting close. Otherwise, I wouldn’t stay here.

The on-site Italian restaurant was 3.5/5. The hotel room, though, was dirty, dated, and not the room I’d booked. The non-smoking rooms smelled like stale cigarette smoke, and the carpet had cigarette burns. There were four hairs right on the shower floor, residue in the sink, and dust caked on the walls. In the gym, the treadmill was marked as “being fixed,” but the dust on the sign made it look like it had been there a while and they weren’t planning to clean it. A few other dated machines worked, though they wobbled.

We’ve found our new favorite hotel chain. The room was comfy and nice, the staff were amazing and friendly, and breakfast was hot, fresh and good quality. We’ll definitely book again next year when we come back for the SCCA solo Nationals!
