WoodSpring Suites Lake Jackson

Lane was kind, professional, and quick to help with anything I asked for. He really deserves a raise and a promotion. Our suite cooled down or warmed up very quickly, and the shower had great pressure. We had a really enjoyable stay. It was quiet and very clean.

I had a problem during my stay, and Ms. Simone, the general manager, fixed it quickly. She goes above and beyond, which is why I keep coming back and plan to continue. The rooms are amazing and never dirty, I feel safe there, and the staff are great.

The employee at the desk was super friendly, helpful, and professional. It was quiet, and my dogs were welcome. But the building smelled like an ashtray and mold, with a faint marijuana odor. The suite and bathroom were huge, though the TV was tiny. Floors stayed damp and sticky, making noises under my shoes; even my socks got wet. A washcloth turned brown and filthy after I used it to wipe up water I'd spilled near the bed. The bed was lumpy, somehow too hard and squishy on top, and the room felt humid even with the AC turned down. There were no dishes unless you bought them, no continental breakfast, no complimentary shampoo, just one bar of soap, and no ice maker, coffee maker, tissues, or paper towels. This hotel isn't old enough to look this bad. It's right next to a contractor training facility, and contractors in their FRCs hang around outside. Even if you're only looking for a cheap stay, I'd choose somewhere else. I would've left if I were staying more than one night.

The room was clean, but the smell was awful, like mildew mixed with an ashtray. The sheets were stained and there were only two very flat pillows. We had two body towels and no hand towels. For the price, it might be all right if you can put up with the smell. We booked four nights and left after one.
