We liked the location, with the boardwalk shops and amusements a short walk away along the paved walking and biking path. Several pretty piers and wooden walkways lead to the water, including one with a picnic area near the start and seating right over the beach at the end. The hotel was reasonably priced compared with others. Our suite had a bedroom, living room, and kitchenette, all roomy, clean, and welcoming, with everything we could need. The stainless steel pots and pans impressed me, as did what seemed to be a brand new non-stick frying pan. The living room couches were sturdy and comfortable, including one pull-out bed. By the window there was a nice table that worked as a desk and had a good view. The staff were warm and went out of their way to help. The morning after we arrived, they even texted to welcome us and offer assistance. There’s an elevator, parking garage, and coffee shop in the building. We also enjoyed the sauna, heated pool, and its lounge chairs, plus the large ocean-facing sun deck, ping pong table, and shuffleboard. We were very impressed and plan to return next year with our extended family.

The beds are so comfortable that I sometimes sleep better here than at home, lol. The whole property is extremely clean and well managed, and the owner is on site. Everyone who works here is helpful and conscientious. This was the fourth time my husband and I stayed, and we feel so at home that I haven’t even looked at other places. I’m sure we’ll be back next year for our fifth season.

The broken blinds didn’t give much privacy, paint was peeling from the ceiling above the entrance, and there wasn’t an iron in the room, so I’ve taken off a star. Still, I’d recommend the motel and would consider staying again. Crusader is in Wildwood Crest, and I had a lovely partial view of the beach and sunrise. The room was functional and very clean, with a front-room table and four to six seats, couches, and a handy kitchenette. The bathroom was clean and had a hair dryer and the usual toiletries, including soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The pool area was clean and useful too. Check-in took a while because the front desk worker was on a break, and the number they provided went to voicemail.

It was our first stay, and we were greeted by very kind people at the front desk. The room was spotless and had nice furniture, while the air conditioning kept things really cold. My kids loved the pool, which was very warm and 11 feet deep. The location worked well for pretty much anything we wanted to do. We’d definitely come back.

We’ve made the Crusader part of our family tradition, coming back four years in a row and always booking the same room. Its balcony looks out at the ocean, a lovely spot for morning coffee or relaxing in the evening. The hotel is right across from the beach, and the boardwalk starts a short walk away, with plenty to do nearby. The rooms are consistently clean, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. After a day at the beach, we like unwinding and cooling off at the pool. We look forward to staying here every year and highly recommend it for a Wildwood getaway.
