Hampton Inn Valdosta/Lake Park Area

We hadn’t planned on staying at this Hampton, since the other Hampton we intended to use was full, but I’m glad it worked out that way. There’s plenty of parking, and the hotel and room were great. The breakfast area is a little small, though it was well supplied. Most of all, Shea K. and Yolanda J. at the front desk made us feel welcome, almost like family. When I called, Shea said they had rooms and invited us down. I gave her my name and said we’d arrive soon, and she greeted me by name when we got there, which impressed me. We were tired enough that we didn’t get to enjoy the room much. Later that night, I mentioned to Shea that I’d come down for coffee, and she said she’d make a fresh pot. The next morning I thanked Susan, the manager, for their hospitality. Shea and Yolanda are a real asset to the Hampton system and the best of the Valdosta/Lake Park Hampton. Management should recognize their work. Thanks for such an enjoyable stay.

Micheal at the front desk was a huge help after our car broke down and we checked in late. He gave us places where we could get it fixed. The room was just okay, but the people were exceptional. The next morning I panicked when I realized I’d left my AirPod in the room. Staff helped search for it, and they found it. That’s the best service I’ve had in a while.

I slept great, and the mattress was in good condition, which matters a lot to me when I travel. The showerhead was adjustable and gave a high-pressure stream. The room was very nice, and the hotel felt fresh, updated and clean. Melynda checked me in last night and was warm and cordial. I’m not sure why this place gets rated below four.

It’s a clean, friendly place at a good price. The rooms are a little smaller than at other Hamptons we’ve tried, but that didn’t take away from the quality. I’d stay again when passing through.
