Holiday Inn Express Lake Park by IHG

The staff were friendly and helpful, and housekeeping and the breakfast team were exceptional. The hotel has been recently renovated, and the beds were comfortable and very clean. Hallways were clean and well lit. Breakfast was substantial, with eggs, pancakes, bread, sausage, biscuits, yogurt, oatmeal and more. There’s also an amazing little Italian restaurant about two minutes away.

Debbie was amazing and so helpful. She clearly loves her job and is a real asset to the company. Lexy checked me in and was very friendly, courteous and helpful too. They both deserve raises! The place was such a great surprise, with newly renovated rooms that felt clean, spacious and brand new. It’s in a nice area, and breakfast was outstanding: eggs, sausage, biscuits, muffins, pancakes, cereal, yogurt, cinnamon rolls, omelets, fried potatoes and more. I’ll definitely stay here again.

The room rate was respectable, and our room was clean. The staff were friendly and personable, and breakfast was decent. The ice maker on the third floor wasn’t working. I’d definitely stay again if I needed to.

The room had no working AC, which I reported to the front desk. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told they’d leave a note. I think a manager should talk directly with guests when a complaint concerns staff behavior. I was told they don’t like being bothered by phone calls and get back to people on their own time. At 1:00 in the morning, exhausted from traveling with my daughter, I also felt subjected to intrusive questions about who had booked the room, where the other person who made the reservation was, and the details of our trip. We had separate reservations, one for me and one for her grandparents, and I don’t understand why they needed to know all that. I wouldn’t stay here again, and I absolutely wouldn’t recommend it. A very unpleasant experience. If I could give zero stars, I would.
