Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa

The staff were courteous and helpful, and the main floor library was a comfortable spot with a nice fireplace. Our Mountain View building room looked over the lake and had good privacy, plus a small sitting area. The Adirondack style may look a little dated, but it fits the area. The water pressure and hot water were great. Weekend breakfast buffet was a bit of a zoo, so I’d avoid 830-930. Weekday ala cart breakfast was calmer. We had dinner at the View Restaurant, which was nice, if a little expensive, though that seems fitting for the area. I’d stay here again on another Lake Placid visit.

The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, and the staff are polite and attentive. Rooms are generally clean, with new bathrooms, and the pool and spa areas looked hygienic. Replacing the carpets in the rooms and corridors might make the place feel perfect. Thanks for everything, we’ll definitely return.

We could easily reach Lake Placid’s attractions, shops, restaurants, and outdoor activities from the inn, while it still felt quiet and tucked away. The service made a lasting impression: staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly cared about making the stay memorable. Meals were carefully prepared, with attentive, professional service, and the restaurant’s lake view made dining feel special. The pool was clean, well maintained, and a relaxing place after exploring. The spa and wellness facilities added to the resort feel. Our room was spacious, spotless, and comfortable, with elegant but cozy furnishings and a lake view. Waking up to Mirror Lake and the Adirondack scenery was a highlight. The inn sits right on the shore, and the views gave the whole stay a peaceful feel. From arrival onward, we felt warmly welcomed and valued. Mirror Lake Inn brought together comfort, luxury, natural beauty, and excellent hospitality. I highly recommend it for a relaxing Adirondack getaway, and would love to return.

The weekend murder mystery was especially fun, though there’s plenty to enjoy without it: an on-site ski shop, gift shop, spa services, a bar with a well appointed whiskey list, and an impressive indoor pool. The inn is beautiful and very well maintained, and I enjoyed reading its history in the welcome booklet. The food and service were excellent, really the whole experience was excellent.
