Budget Inn

I gave them more than a month’s notice when I contacted the hotel to cancel, but they refused. When I asked to speak with a manager or find out when one would be available, the front desk employee said he “owed me no answers” and hung up. That’s unacceptable service and reflects badly on the management. There was no transparency or basic professionalism. After this experience, I won’t be going anywhere near the place.

We booked three rooms for the weekend and had a really nice stay. The owners were friendly, the rooms were spotless, and it’s clear they put a lot of work into the property and enjoy what they do. It was quiet, and I felt safe outside on my own. We’ll definitely stay again if we’re back in the area.

We tried four times to cancel through Booking.com. Each time, the hotel refused to respond to them, and now they’re trying to charge us the full stay as a “cancellation fee.” It feels deliberately deceptive. The man at the desk was aggressive and rude. He yelled at me, refused to put a manager on the phone, and kept saying they “don’t owe us any answers.” When I asked when a manager would be available, he wouldn’t answer. This wasn’t a mix-up, it was blatant stonewalling. The customer service was atrocious, and the operation seems to have no accountability. If they treat people this way when they’re just trying to cancel, I’d stay far away. Save yourself the stress, time, and money.

There aren’t many amenities on site, but that’s fine by me. I mainly want somewhere clean and quiet, and this place was comfortable with no issues. I’d come back.
