So comfortable and quiet in our room, and the location inside the park was really convenient. Amazing place. Definitely recommend.

It's pretty expensive, especially without a fridge or microwave, but being right in the middle of Yellowstone made it worth it. The first night we had a terrible mosquito problem. We cleared it ourselves and barricaded the windows, and didn't have any more the rest of our stay. The common lodge was cozy enough, and the cafeteria food was about what I'd expect. I'd still recommend using this as a base while exploring the park. Also, walk toward the nearby lake at night or at dawn if you can. The stars and sunrise are stunning.

The lodge's community area is beautiful, with people relaxing in rocking chairs and enjoying the evening view. We stayed at Lake Lodge Cabins on our first night in Yellowstone, but arrived late and left in the morning. The place is beautiful and clean, right by the lake, and we slept peacefully. I wish we'd booked it later in the trip so we'd have more time to enjoy it. I'll definitely come back with my family.

Sitting on the front porch in a rocking chair, looking across Lake Yellowstone with a glass of wine, was lovely. The cabins feel remote, though the small restaurant and bar and the laundry facilities are just a short walk away. Best load of laundry I've ever done! We were there in fall, when the Lake General Store was closed, so we could walk our dogs down the road and along the shoreline and have the whole place to ourselves. It was incredible. We came around a corner to a herd of elk grazing, then later saw a bison grazing in the yard between our cabin and the woods. The trailhead for the gorgeous hike up Elephant Back Mountain was right outside our back door. Lake Lodge Cabins are a hidden gem in Yellowstone, and our favorite spot there. We can't wait to visit again.

What a shame, because the lodge itself is lovely and the location on the lake is beautiful, with elk all around. But the lodge ran out of food, the parking areas and access roads were terribly rutted, and the areas around the cabins looked shabby. There are better lodges to stay at.
