Courtyard by Marriott Lakeland

I checked in at 9:30 p.m. and left at 8:30 the next morning, paying $210 for about 11 hours. I was disappointed by what felt like price gouging. Ten minutes after checking in, I had to change rooms because the refrigerator didn’t work. The replacement room had stains on the couch. Gross.

The staff were all friendly, and I especially want to thank Mr.Varkey for the warm welcome and Mr. Luke for helping when I needed it. The hotel was clean, and the bed was comfortable.

The location is great, with lots of good restaurants and shops within walking distance. The hotel is always clean, and the afternoon front desk gentleman who checks me in is consistently professional and courteous. The lobby and pool look well kept too, and next time I plan to spend more time using those areas.

The place and rooms were just okay, and the couch had all sorts of stains and looked disgusting. The front desk service was incredibly nice. One of the kitchen staff who handles breakfast orders, the taller, bigger woman, was amazingly rude and nasty, though I don’t mean the shorter woman. Most of the breakfast seemed barely cooked. It looked like they microwaved it, then you paid for it and found it cool in the middle. I’d rate it 5.6/10.
