Regency Inn

I have a knee problem and asked for a downstairs room, but they insisted on putting me upstairs. The room had a very strange, awful smell. I booked two nights, but we slept in the car both nights. When I tried to cancel the second day, they said I couldn’t, so I paid for two nights without being able to use the room. I was speechless.

The owner is really nice, and I’ve enjoyed all my stays. The rooms are clean and have a nice TV, small fridge, microwave, plenty of hot water, and air conditioning. I haven’t tried the pool yet. There are sometimes characters hanging around the parking lot and Mexican music, but they generally head to their rooms at a reasonable hour and it gets quiet after that. The rooms are perfect for me. I’d stay every night if I could afford it, though a few more outlets for phones and tablets would be handy. I recommend it.

The staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly. We shared a few laughs, got a great dinner recommendation, and found out they’re pet friendly. We somehow landed a lake-view room, though it was nothing fancy and only two rooms seem to face the lake. Everything smelled clean and freshly laundered, with no room odors or red goo everywhere. The pool was decent and right by the water, and there’s a deck overlooking the lake. The area felt pretty quiet, and the price was right.

A quiet, pleasant place for a relaxing trip, and worth the price. The rooms are clean, the owner is friendly, and it’s close to the lake and local attractions. I recommend visiting.
