Baymont by Wyndham Golden/Red Rocks

We came from out of state with my siblings, and the room was dirty the whole time. I booked for May 28th. They never cleaned our room or brought fresh towels. After I asked, a staff member said someone would come by, but two hours later nothing had changed. I had to go downstairs myself for towels and toilet paper. There was mold, trash, disgusting air vents, and even a used diaper behind the TV. I also found things and cards left by past guests. I showed the man at the front desk proof of the mess that morning, and he just said he hadn't been working. It felt like he didn't care at all. I couldn't post photos with this review, but I don't recommend this place.

The two women working there were very nice and respectful, but the older man at the front desk was rude at checkout. He argued that nobody had told us late checkout was at 12pm, and we had to rush out. The pool and ice machine were both down. They said we could use the pool next door, but it smelled really bad when we went in, so we left. Both hotels are owned by the same person. Our room was clean, though it had several existing damages we had to report. We booked the jacuzzi as the reason for staying, but it was loud with one knob missing, and the tub plug was broken. We asked twice for repairs and nobody could fix it. I wouldn't want to repeat this experience.

The indoor pool and hot tub were great, and the hotel was comfortable and quiet. It's an older budget place, so a few issues during our stay weren't surprising. Janelle (sp?) at check-in and the person at checkout, whose name I didn't catch, were pleasant and did a wonderful job resolving our concerns. I'll come back.

The staff were nice, but my TV didn't work, and after I called, nobody came to fix it or offered any kind of discount. The hotel feels outdated and like it's falling apart, and the online pictures are misleading. The air conditioners all need replacing. At $186 a night, it was way overpriced. In my view it should've been $89 at most, and definitely shouldn't cost over $100. Don't expect a hot breakfast. For what I paid, it just wasn't a nice stay.
