Rodeway Inn Cow Palace

I'm a Diamond member with Choice, Hilton, and Wyndham, and I was tired of staying in the same old hotel room. The charm and signage caught my eye, and holy cow, this is what every motel should be like. The staff and service were amazing. I needed to do laundry on a work trip, and when they said they had no laundry service, I was disappointed. Then they offered to wash it in their machines if I brought it to them, which I hadn't expected. The rooms are spacious and clean, the furniture feels higher end, the carpet is brand new, and everything seems thought through. Even the hardware on the downspouts carries the hotel's branding. The mini fridges are unique Frigidaire units. My only complaint is that the shower has no shelves for toiletries, but I can live with that when I'm tired of everyday hotels.

The courtyard facing rooms inside have a lovely view of the mini jungle, and the curtains make them wonderfully dark when closed. The beds may be the most comfortable I've slept on in a hotel. Rooms are clean and well kept, and the staff were kind and helpful. Such a unique place with excellent service.

I've been coming to the cow palace for years, through the good times and the bad, and I'm glad to see it being renovated and turned around. It was clean, friendly, and nice all around. Things are definitely looking up, and I'll be back. Could've had the pool a few degrees warmer, though, brrr hahaha.

The rooms are large, the beds comfortable, and everything was clean after the remodel. There are plenty of outlets, including USB ports. The inner rooms open onto a huge atrium full of greenery, with the pool at one end and restaurant/bar at the other. It's a great place to stay while traveling or visiting Lamar, right on the main highway with lots of parking.
