The room stayed wonderfully cold, which I appreciated with the heat outside, and getting to the hotel right off the highway was easy. The front desk staff were kind and accommodating while we dealt with our power cutting in and out at home. Everything was clean, though the room looked a little dated. The TV picture was really sketchy, and over the two days I was there, the pool stayed cloudy. It looked like there might be an algae issue, though I’m not sure. I saw someone cleaning it, but it didn’t look any better. My main complaint is the price, which was much higher than other nearby hotels. Still, I’d recommend the place.

We nearly skipped this Super 8 because other locations haven’t been places we wanted to stay, but I’m glad we gave this one a chance. Breakfast started at 5 a.m. and had a good range of food, and the truck parking worked well for us while we were hauling. The staff were wonderful, with popcorn and brownies when we checked in. Our room was older but spotless, even the freshly shampooed carpet, and the motel was very well kept. We’d stay again if we travel this way and would recommend it to anyone.

Jeanette at the front desk made us feel welcome and took an interest in why we were visiting. She also pointed us to a nice cafe in a nearby town that had pie, and we loved it. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and we’d come back if we’re in Lamar again.

The staff were friendly and seemed to care about guests having a good stay. We liked the breakfast and enjoyed the small pool, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. This is the nicest Super 8 I’ve stayed in by far, better than plenty of hotels from brands that seem fancier. I’ll definitely stay here again.

After a long day, those comfortable beds were just right. The room was very clean, and the whole property looked cared for. Breakfast was great: we had fresh waffles, fruit, juice, and yogurt, along with other options. Everyone on staff was really hospitable.
