The Boatyard Inn

Unit #6 at Boatyard Inn was so quiet and cozy, just right for a relaxing seaside break. It was spotless, nicely decorated, and the furnishings were both comfortable and well cared for. The view over the water was stunning. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend it.

We’ve stayed here a couple of times already and plan to return. Watching the birds over the water was lovely, and the snow covered mountains turning pink at sunset were a real treat. Main Street is a pleasant little walk uphill to shops and museums. The accommodations were great, with snacks and good island coffee, and the staff were friendly and made sure everything went well. It’s a great place to relax.

The room faced the water and the sunrise, which was lovely, but by about 5 am the light filled the room and we couldn’t sleep. The sheer shades are too thin to block it. I also ran out of hot water in the shower, even though nobody else had used any. On top of that, the cleanup they expect is a lot: strip the bedding, take trash to the dumpster, and wash all the dishes. We won’t be back. This was definitely at boatyard in.

We had a peaceful weekend in Unit 6, which has the best water view. It’s well maintained and has everything you need for a getaway. We’ll be coming back.
