Comfort Suites near I-80 and I-94

The pool was open while we were there, but the hall outside it and the elevator were soaking wet. I stepped into a puddle in the elevator. That felt unsafe and unnecessary. We had a dirty set of towels and called the desk within ten minutes of arriving to ask for clean ones. The clerk said she had no extra towels and told us we'd need to come back so she could reassign us to another room. Having to repack and move just to get towels was ridiculous. I don't know what has changed at this hotel, but the current owner clearly isn't keeping guests comfortable or safe. I regret paying for the room.

The room was gross. Stained sheets, a smoke smell, beat-up lampshades, and a couch that was filthy and stained. When we asked about changing rooms, they said the others were all booked.

We couldn't get a key card, even though the owner knew who we'd arrived with, so we were stuck waiting outside our room. After the pool, she also wouldn't give us towels, and the door was left swinging open while we were wet and freezing. Several kids got sick afterward. She kept yelling instead of helping and showed no concern for our safety. The room itself was filthy, with trash everywhere, and the pool was dirty and clearly not maintained. We were then barred from the pool because of other kids' behavior, although our group had nothing to do with it. This was unacceptable, and I wouldn't recommend the place.

Someone was wandering in front of the building all night looking for cigarette butts. The place wasn't very clean either. Our room smelled like it had been mopped with a dirty mop, and the chair was so filthy I had to cover it just to avoid looking at it.
