The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Autumn at check-in and the woman at breakfast. We were traveling with our adult son, and the suite worked really well for the three of us, with a separate sitting room and a large, clean bathroom. The shower took a while to warm up, but it was worth waiting for. The pool had just been drained and refilled, so it was a little cold for us older folks, though the kids were happy in it. The hot tub was lovely for tired muscles and achy joints, especially since the website said it was out of order. Breakfast had lots of choices, including gluten-free items, which I rarely find. The place was very affordable compared with others we looked at, and we're already planning to stay again on our next trip downstate.

We only stayed briefly, so we didn't try the other amenities. The King suite suited two adults and our four-year-old well, and the sofa's trundle bed was just right for a small child. The hotel has nice modern updates, and our room was spacious and clean.

We had friendly, quick service, and for a budget-friendly place I'd stay again. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance, just minutes from the busy part of the city. The room could've been a bit cleaner. The pool seemed questionable, though it didn't have an overpowering chemical smell, and the jacuzzi could've used a cleaning.

I felt frustrated and disappointed by how my safety concern was handled. I told the staff member on duty that the pool had many children running, screaming, and doing backflips, with at least 22 kids there and no one supervising them. My friend and I were watching our own four children, but we shouldn't have had to keep an eye on other guests' kids. One child who looked about two was in the water without an adult. Nothing changed after I raised it. The staff member came in briefly to gather dirty towels and then left, without addressing the situation. I didn't feel listened to or cared for, and this seemed like a serious ongoing safety issue, especially for toddlers. As paying guests, we expected basic safety standards, not to take on unpaid supervision of other people's children. It had a significant effect on our stay.
