The one thing going for this place is its location near the hospital, University, shops, and restaurants. There are much cleaner, better hotels about 100 yards down the road, though. Do yourself a favor and stay there. The photo shows the extra cleaning fees. The room was genuinely disgusting, with a rancid smell when we arrived. We'd booked ahead, but it looked like it hadn't been cleaned and may have had several guests before us. The bedding was so gross that I asked for a fresh bed cover, then, exhausted and arriving late, put our own blankets over it and tried to sleep. Puke stayed in the only elevator for at least a couple of hours before anyone dealt with it. The TV only scrolled through the guide, and the remote did nothing. We saw little bugs, possibly roaches. The building was in terrible repair, and management was awful. The night guy was nice enough, but the front desk was usually closed. Even when it was open, I rang the service phone on the wall several times and nobody came. The people above us sounded like they were moving furniture day and night without a break. I put up with the noise for a solid week before calling, but it continued despite the stated quiet hours of 10-6. In all the time we were there, we saw just one guy doing all the work. For what they charge, this isn't worth it. I'd rather sleep in my truck, and I would never stay here again.

After a ten-hour drive, we just needed sleep, but the room was so bad we had to spread one of our own blankets out to rest. The first thing we saw was pee and blood on the bed. Lifting the sheets revealed more stains and black hairs stuck in the blankets. There were small insects and roaches in the room, and I was afraid I'd wake up covered in them. The place was in terrible shape, and the cleaning was disgusting. I could hear people walking around and moving things constantly for hours. There was no shampoo or conditioner, and the bathroom looked so bad I felt there was a 100% chance of getting a skin fungus if I showered. Please don't stay here. I hope you see this in time, because you'd regret spending your money.

The only reason I'm giving even three stars is the night attendant, Brianna. She was polite, understanding, and helped us get a refund so we could move to another hotel. After a ten-hour drive, we were ready to rest, but the whole place smelled rancid, including the halls. Our first room was a double and smelled like urine. When we complained, Brianna moved us across the hall, but that room was filthy too. The lights didn't work and the sheet had a hole. It was too dirty for us to stay. Please avoid this place if you can.

I stayed here for almost three months and still think it's a great place, definitely five stars. I agree with one gentleman who mentioned laundry service being added to the bill. That happened to me too, even though I washed my own clothes, so now I need to check my receipts. Since I didn't know how long I'd be staying, I made new reservations each week and may have been charged each time. How can I get copies of all the receipts? The guy at the desk didn't know.

The place is clean, quiet, and feels very secure, and the area feels safe. I stayed for over a year, and the staff became like the good kind of family, not the drunk uncle at Thanksgiving kind. Eddie and manager Amanda were especially great while I finished my dissertation. I'll miss them!
