Oasis at Gold Spike

The air conditioner didn’t cool the room, so it got too warm and humid. I jumped in the pool and that solved it. I like it at the Oasis. It’s a highly recommended, very cute hotel with a great atmosphere and the best price in town. The pool is gorgeous, with waterfalls, and there’s an adult playground with lots of artsy spots for pictures. The bar has an Ube drink. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond to take care of all my needs and wants.

Angel and D'harlyn at the front desk deserve a shout-out. I love these ladies, especially Angel, who has the best attitude and gives great customer service. The hotel is simple, with no fluff, but true to its photos. It’s in a great location for walking to Fremont Street and lots of restaurants. If you want an uncomplicated place to rest your head with great service and a great location, this is it.

The location made it easy to explore downtown, with Fremont Street and other attractions just a short walk away. I also liked having the pool and outdoor areas to spend time in. Our room felt modern, tidy, and comfortable, and everything seemed well cared for. A fun stay for the price, and I’d come back.

For about $70 on Booking on a Tuesday, we got a room with two beds that worked well for one night. The bed and pillow were comfortable, the shower got hot, and the room seemed clean. The hall smelled strongly of Fabuloso, which might not suit everyone, but the room itself smelled fresh. There were two decent pairs of earplugs, and it was quiet enough that night. The room upkeep was okay: the shower faucet kept running when the shower was on, and the bathroom door bumped into the toilet, though neither caused us a real problem. The toiletries were enough for the night, but there were only three towels for four people, so we had to ask for another.
