Silverton Casino Lodge

There are several options for food and drinks, including Starbucks, Johnny Rockets, Wuhu Noodle, and Tomahawk. Wuhu seems popular with locals, with a long line that I took as a sign of its authenticity. The sportsbook is decent and part of the Circa group. It’s a small hotel and casino built around the Mermaid show. The Mermaid bar has underwater decor and seats right in front of the tank, with chairs named for famous Hollywood fish such as Nemo, Jaws, and Cleo. Bass Pro Shop connects directly to the casino.

We were having a pretty blah weekend, then stopped for a drink at one of the center bars on our way to the pool. Diego greeted us and was so friendly that we ended up staying for two hours. His service turned the weekend around. The Mexican candy shots are amazing, go try one if you haven’t. Diego is 10/10.

I loved this place and will be staying at this gem from now on. There are lots of restaurants and stores nearby, it’s only a 15-minute drive to the Strip, and there are no resort fees or parking charges. Madison gave excellent customer service when I checked in. Tech is life!

My first stay was in March 2022, before the renovations, and it wasn’t great. I’m glad I gave the Silverton another chance: my April 2025 visit was wonderful. The updates have made the hotel look much more current, my room seemed cleaner, and the staff were friendlier and easier to talk to. I also like the outdoor space where you can walk or sit. It’s away from the Strip, which suited me, though the hotel won’t be the cheapest in the area. If you plan to spend most of your time on the Strip, taxis, Lyfts, or Ubers can add up quickly. That wasn’t a deal breaker for me, and after my second stay I’d recommend it.
