There’s no elevator, though the hotel only has two floors. The little outdoor pool is nice and works well. Truckers can park their 18-wheelers in a lot across the way that’s shared with another hotel, which gives you a place to unwind after that loony drive on I-5. Great hotel!

I’ve been coming here with my family almost every month for nearly two years, and we always booked this hotel. This time I took the train by myself to see friends, even though I live two hours away. At check-in, the woman checked my ID and card and said I couldn’t stay because they don’t allow anyone under 21. Why does booking.com charge an 18-year-old as an adult, and say there’s no age requirement, if that’s the rule? I told her I had nowhere else to go, and she just shrugged and said nothing. She also said I wouldn’t be charged and wouldn’t see any card transactions, but $100 was taken from my card. It was my last money, leaving me with almost nothing and unable to book somewhere else. My family and I had really enjoyed staying here for a long time, especially thanks to the two men who usually work at the front desk. After how this woman treated me, though, I can’t recommend the place. If you’re under 21, don’t book here. You could be 20 and they still won’t care how far you’ve traveled.

It’s older, but pretty clean. Breakfast is basically toast, coffee, and apples, which is okay since there’s a cute donut shop with good coffee just down the street.

The rooms are spotless and comfortable, the location was perfect for what I needed, and there are plenty of breakfast options. Most of my stays here have been awesome, and it’s still one of my FAVORITE hotels, so this time won’t change my mind about coming back. But I was disappointed at check-in: I booked through a third party and was surprised by a $150 deposit. The customer service was nice, but my card was declined for the depisit :( Nobody mentioned the deposit before I arrived.
