Pat made us feel welcome, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The place is beautiful and full of interesting history. We had a great stay while driving down to Florida.

Pat was a wonderful host, and the rooms and service were great. Breakfast was, too. You can come by just for dinner or stay overnight, and I’ve already told our relatives they should visit. It’s a historic bed and breakfast and restaurant worth supporting.

The breakfast was an exceptional end to our stay, and we were so happy at Abingdon Manor Inn that we came back for another night on our way to Florida. Pat and his team did a wonderful job, and we’d gladly return again. The six-course dinner Chef Pat prepared was delicious, with attentive service from the young women serving us. We had cocktails in one of the lovely parlors before dinner, then ate in the sunroom overlooking the garden at sunset. Pat also had a great selection of high-quality wines. Our room was spacious and spectacular, with all the comforts we could want. When we arrived, Pat warmly welcomed us and gave us a historical tour of the wonderful property, which is about 120 years old.

Dinner was fantastic, every course was so good, and the rooms were charming throughout. Since we were the only guests, we got to see them all. But the wait to get in and the long welcome were frustrating. Pat had called to say he’d be late and hoped the door would be unlocked. A kind neighbor let us in, and we sat on the porch for over an hour before Patrick arrived. We got tired of waiting and poured ourselves a glass of wine. Pat explained why he was late, then talked about the place’s history for an hour. We wanted some time alone, not a history lesson, before he finally went to start dinner. The room was much too hot, and the AC wouldn’t go below 78, resetting there whenever we turned it down. The linen or percale sheets and foam pillows were very uncomfortable. We’ve had better linens at a Holiday Inn Express, and good bedding is a must at a B&B of this caliber. Breakfast was just okay, nothing special. We were eager to get on the road to Savanna, and I wouldn’t make this a repeat visit.

Pat was thoughtful about my food allergies, so I could enjoy the six-course meal without worrying. It was delicious, carefully prepared, and served with the elegance that suited the house. During our lovely three days at the manor, he also greeted us with a tour and shared interesting details about its history. We enjoyed talking with him about his plans for the Inn’s future, too. He was very attentive to our needs, and we had a really enjoyable stay.
