Laughlin River Lodge

We found one of the few places in Laughlin with roomy family suites: two bedrooms and two bathrooms, kept very clean, with a river view. The price was great, and there’s a nice casino downstairs. Restaurant choices here are limited, though there are plenty around Laughlin. For what it costs, it’s a very nice hotel.

My boyfriend’s phone was stolen tonight, and even after we asked several times, the staff and security at Dotty's wouldn’t help. Then they kicked him out because he’d forgotten he had a knife on him, even though they had let him into the building with it. The whole thing felt really fishy. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone on staff had taken the phone.

The souvenir and novelty shop is surprisingly large, has a good selection, and the prices were very reasonable. They also have a nice, brand-new nonsmoking casino. I spent the weekend here with my pool league, had a good time, and enjoyed the river view from my nice room. Still, I’m taking stars off for the room setup. There’s no safe, hardly any USB access beyond one port on the back of the clock, and no hairdryer. The tub has no nonslip surface, and it was so slippery that I had to be extra careful even though I’m fit and have good balance. Someone less steady, especially an older guest, could fall and break a hip. It seems like only a matter of time before there’s a lawsuit. Please add some kind of nonslip grip to the tubs. Amber is the best, and all the bartenders at Bourbon St. were amazing. Before that, Carol and Matt at the La Villita made the service feel special for us. We had a wonderful time with them and will come back. Great service and a really memorable experience.
